Chris Davies joined the firm in 1980. He is a graduate of the University of Southampton where he studied physics with electronics. In 1984 he was awarded the Gill Prize by the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents, for achieving first place in the Final Examinations. In addition to a substantial trade mark practice he handles patent work in the physics, engineering and electronics fields, as well as design and industrial copyright work. He handles trade mark work mainly for UK and US clients and has considerable experience of international portfolios and contentious matters. Major trade mark clients operate in the fields of entertainment, education, perfumes and cosmetics, and merchandising.
