Julian Cockbain joined the firm in 1979. He holds a First Class Honours Degree and a Doctorate in Chemistry, both from the University of Oxford, having carried out research in molecular dynamics at Oxford, Harwell and Grenoble. He handles patent work in the fields of chemistry, particularly physical chemistry, medical diagnostics, polymers, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. He handles a considerable amount of work for clients in Scandinavia, where he is a frequent visitor. Chartered Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, Registered Trade Mark Agent.
