Mike Butler and Philip Webber will both be making presentations at "Bioinformatics IP: A case study approach" on 25 February 2005 at the Magdalen Centre, Oxford Science Park, Oxford. The event has been organised by the UK Bioinformatics Forum Network (www.bioinformaticsforumuk.net). Philip will be introducing the event with a talk on "General issues in Bioinformatics IP"; Mike's talk will be on "Protecting Bioinformatics Software". Philip and Mike - with their considerable experience in the patenting of biotech and software inventions, respectively - are ideally suited to advise on the patenting of inventions in this fast-developing area.
